Chief Strategy Officer
Michael “Mike” Leach brings deep experience in operations, business analysis, technology, and risk management to complex business challenges. He is known for understanding how organizations work beneath the surface and identifying practical ways to improve systems, processes, and performance.
Before joining Garner, Mike spent nearly two decades in executive leadership with Tim Parkman, Inc., ultimately serving as President of a full-service wholesale insurance brokerage supporting more than 5,000 active agents nationwide. There, he oversaw operations, strengthened carrier relationships, and helped develop databases and web-based platforms designed to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
Earlier in his career, Mike spent 11 years with the Mississippi State Rating Bureau, where he managed database and platform development, supported risk assessment through public protection classifications, and helped lead early website development initiatives.
At Garner, Mike applies his experience across operations, technology, analysis, and risk management to strategic planning and organizational improvement. His background gives him a practical understanding of how systems, processes, and objectives interact, helping shape strategies grounded in operational reality.
His combination of executive leadership, technical experience, and risk-focused thinking brings a disciplined perspective to complex business decisions and long-term growth.
