James “J.” Cockrum brings more than 30 years of experience in software development, systems architecture, enterprise data, and technology consulting. His career has centered on solving complex technical problems, improving how systems operate, and helping development teams work more effectively.
J.’s experience spans organizations ranging from boutique consulting firms to major enterprises across the public and private sectors. He has delivered solutions for Fortune 100 clients including Shell, UPS, Kimberly-Clark and the United States Marine Corps Marine Forces Reserve. His in-depth experience in infrastructure, application/database architecture, and high-frequency transactional platforms has proven invaluable to his clients.
At Garner, J. focuses on DevOps, automation, network and application architecture, and the practical application of artificial intelligence. He is especially skilled at both recognizing opportunities to increase value for and delivering value to the enterprise. His primary goal for his clients is reducing ongoing cost, complexity, and operational risk while maintaining operational integrity.
